Regulatory Requirements for Digital Preservation

Preserving the Libro Unico del Lavoro (LUL) digitally must comply with Italian and EU regulations to guarantee long-term legal validity. eCON LUL adheres to all current provisions, offering a secure and compliant digital archiving system.

  • The Digital Administration Code (CAD) – Legislative Decree 82/2005 governs digitization in public administration and business, defining rules for managing and preserving electronic documents.

  • Establishes that an electronic document is legally equivalent to paper if digitally signed and preserved according to technical regulations.

  • Governs substitute preservation, enabling elimination of paper archiving.
  • Legislative Decree 151/2015 – Art. 15 obligates employers to retain the LUL for at least 5 years from the last entry date and authorizes digital preservation if carried out according to AgID guidelines.
